STAR 6 Foundation Receives Donation

Former Congressman and current STAR 6 Foundation board member, Doug Ose, was the recipient of $5000 award from Allstate Insurance for the safe teen driver program in which Mr. Ose is a huge supporter of. Mr. Ose wanted the award to benefit the STAR 6 Foundation and a check was presented at a press conference on Monday, December 12, 2008.

Kevin Mickelson, President of the Sacramento County Deputy Sheriffs' Association and the STAR 6 Foundation was present to accept the generous donation. The STAR 6 Foundation provides immediate and ongoing financial assistance, grievance counseling and peer support for the spouses, families and “brothers and sisters” of the fallen and injured men and women of the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department and surrounding law enforcement agencies.
